As a Principal DevSecOps Engineer, you will report to the DevSecOps Practice Lead.  You will champion engineering and operational excellence. Be ready to lead complex and exciting customer engagements, resolve any incidents and solve complex problems throughout project life cycle. Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment. Be able to support pre-sales efforts, understand business & technical requirements, scope solutions and perform project-level estimation. You must work close to the technology being implemented, with recent experience adding value to development, cloud/DevOps architecture and implementation activities.

Principal DevSecOps Engineer will be a hybrid Engineer/Architect and Leadership role.  Principal DevSecOps Engineers are responsible for the hands-on technical implementation of one to multiple projects as well as technical oversight of all engineering and architect resources on the project.  Principal DevSecOps Engineers own and are responsible for all project deliverables and must review each deliverable and commit solutions are designed to Intuitive standards and best practices and align with all customer requirements.    

Project Responsibilities:

  • Lead Customer DevSecOps transformation initiatives
  • Establish quality standards and methods that ensure on-time and in-scope delivery
  • Responsible for hands on delivery (IaC development, CICD pipeline development, cloud infrastructure architecture, etc) and technical lead / oversight on projects. The ratio of hands-on deliverables vs technical review / oversight will vary project to project.
  • Review and accountable for all technical decisions/solutions. Own project deliverables
  • Ensures that risk is analyzed and mitigated for each project
  • Bridge between project technical team and Practice Leads
  • Aid and mentor project technical team
  • Help to remove technical blockers
  • Ensure open communication of project(s) status with Practice Leads 
Pre-Sales Responsibilities: 
  • Support sales team with deep dive technical discussions
  • Support sales team with SOW creation
Technical Skills:
  • Expert with one or more of the following CICD platforms  (Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub Actions)
  • Cloud infrastructure architecture expertise with AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Expertise in driving customer’s DevOps adoption & transformation efforts
  • Proficient with Terraform
  • Proficient with Kubernetes
  • Proficient working with GIT version control
  • Proficient with various testing and scanning tools (ex. SonarQube, Snyk, BlackDuck, etc.)
  • Hands on experience working with monitoring/observability tool(s) (Splunk, DataDog, DynaTrace, etc)
  • Hands on experience working with Configuration Management platform(s) (Chef, SaltStack, Ansible, etc)
  • Hands on experience with GitOps
  • Hands on experience with Python
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps process and governance
  • Strong understanding of various branching strategies
  • Strong understanding of value stream management
