Job Description:
As a Principal Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and architects in the delivery of technical solutions and services to our clients. You will work closely with clients, sales teams, leadership, and customer stakeholders to understand client requirements, design/implement solutions, and provide expert technical guidance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Technical lead for Cloud Infrastructure Projects
- Lead hands on delivery and oversight on projects (Ratio of Solutioning vs Delivery vs Technical Oversight will vary project to project)
- Accountable and responsible for technical solutions, deliverables and outcomes
- Establish quality standards and methods that ensure on-time and in-scope delivery
- Ensures that risk is analyzed and mitigated. Blockers are addressed and removed.
- Liasson between CTO organization, PMO and Delivery teams.
- Ensure open communication of project(s) status with practice leads.
- Mentor and motivate the technical team to strive for the delivery excellence.
Mandatory Skills:
- Hands-on experience with enterprise scale Well-architected cloud infrastructure.
- Design and implementation of secure, scalable and regulatory compliant Multi-AZ, Multi-Account Landing Zone infrastructure.
- Deep hands-on experience with IaC (Terraform & Python mandatory, CloudFormation Preferred)
- Hands-on experience with AWS network & security services, i.e. DNS, DHCP, Load balancer, IAM, KMS, Shield, WAF, and Guard Duty, Security Hub to ensure compliance and data protection.
- Experience with AWS Core infrastructure services including EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, and Lambda for creating and managing scalable solutions.
- Experience with AWS operations automation using AWS Systems Manager, AWS CLI and AWS Step Functions.
- Hands-on experience with cloud migration strategies (7 R’s), including re-hosting, re-platforming, and refactoring.
- Hands-on experience with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity implementation using Cloud Native and Cloud Agnostic services.
Preferred Skills:
- Observability tools i.e. CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Config, Data Dog, New Relic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk etc.
- Microservices based Architectures (EKS/AKS/GKE)
- Multi-Cloud (GCP & Azure) Experience
- Hybrid Cloud (On-prem & AWS/GCP/Azure) Experience
- FinOps and Cost-optimization
- Linux/Unix/Windows System Engineering
