We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer Lead with expertise in Terraform, GitLab, Artifactory, Ansible, and SonarQube. As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our platform infrastructure, ensuring its stability, scalability, and security. Your experience in installing and managing GitLab and Artifactory will be crucial in this role. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive automation, continuous integration, and delivery practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps and a passion for building and maintaining robust and efficient platform solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage the platform infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Install, configure, and manage GitLab and Artifactory, ensuring their availability and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to define and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and other relevant tools.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using Ansible.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions, to ensure the health and performance of the platform.
  • Continuously improve platform infrastructure and processes, identifying and implementing automation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in platform engineering and DevOps
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role.
  • 8+ years of total experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Extensive experience in installing, configuring, and managing GitLab and Artifactory.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience implementing pipelines using GitLab.
  • Proficiency in Ansible, Bash and Python for infrastructure automation and configuration management.
  • Familiarity with SonarQube for code quality analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with building Internal Developer Platforms
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration and networking concepts.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls
  • Extensive experience with AWS
  • Solid Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
  • Familiarity with build tools such as Ant, Maven
  • Strong engineering background with 2+ years development experience and knowledge of Java, Java EE platforms, Databases and SQL
  • Solid development experience with one or more of Java, .NET, Python, Scala.
  • Experience with application servers and web servers
  • Experience with Cloud based application development, deployment, and support.
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind scalable applications
  • Experience with Agile software engineering practices, including Scrum and Kanban
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
