Job Description:
As a Principal DevSecOps Architect, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and architects in the delivery of technical solutions and services to our clients. You will work closely with clients, sales teams, leadership, and customer stakeholders to understand client requirements, design/implement solutions, and provide expert technical guidance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Technical lead for DevSecOps projects
- Establish quality standards and methods that ensure on-time and in-scope delivery
- Responsible for hands on delivery (IaC development, CICD pipeline development, cloud infrastructure architecture, etc) and technical lead / oversight on projects. The ratio of hands-on deliverables vs technical review / oversight will vary project to project.
- Lead pre-sales technical discovery sessions
- Contribute to SOW creation process
- Review and accountable for all technical decisions/solutions. Own project deliverables
- Ensures that risk is analyzed and mitigated for each project
- Bridge between project technical team and Practice Leads
- Aid and mentor project technical team
- Help to remove technical blockers
- Ensure open communication of project(s) status with Practice Leads
Mandatory Skills:
- Infrastructure as Code (ex. Terraform, Cloud Formation, CDK,etc.)
- GIT Version Control
- Cloud Architecture (ex. Azure, GCP, AWS)
- CICD pipeline automation and tools (ex. GitHub Actions, ADO, GitLab)
- Configuration Management automation and tools (ex. Chef, Ansible, SaltStack)
- Programming / Scripting (ex. Python, Ruby, GO)
- Code Security Tools and Practices (ex. SAST, DAST, SCA, Security Frameworks)
- Strong leadership skills to mentor and guide a technical team
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in leading and managing technical projects
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills:
- Monitoring and Observability platforms (ex. Splunk, New Relic, DataDog)
- Cloud Architecture experience with multiple cloud platforms
- Linux/Unix system administration
- Network security (ex. Firewalls, VPNs, etc.)
- Containerization and Orchestration (ex. Kubernetes, Docker)
